WELCOME TO R&S PHOTOGRAPHY
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS IN COLCHESTER, ESSEX
Hi, my name is Richard, I am a wedding photographer, based in Colchester, Essex.
Over the last 15 years, I have captured a wide variety of photography, from festivals, sports, pets, families and christenings. In 2013 I captured my first wedding, since that day I realised weddings was my true passion. Capturing love stories as they unfold naturally, helping ensure the married couple have a lovely wedding day, then providing them with stunning photos that they will cherish forever.
Why choose me to be your photographer? First of all, I love my job and every little bit that comes with it. I have been involved in the wedding industry for a long time now, I understand that your special day is not only about the photographs that are taken with your loved ones, but also about you enjoying the magic of the day.
Not only capturing your wedding, but I will also be there to help and guide you through the process. From the build-up of your wedding day to being there with you as the day unfolds, in order to help your day run smoothly and be as stress-free as possible for you both. From helping out with finding suppliers, help organise your time schedule for the day to making sure the bridesmaids are getting ready at the right time and calling the dad up to take a first look at their stunning daughter for the first time in her dress. To making sure the groomsman puts down the Xbox controller or pint and gets his jacket to head over to the venue.
After the ceremony, I like to make sure the bride and groom get to enjoy their day, by chatting to their loved ones and having a drink before we formal photos start. When it comes to organising the confetti shot, the big group photo of all the guests, sometimes in a heart shape if you would like too. As well as rounding up the guests for the formal family photo. I love it all, taking the stress from the new married couple. Refer to me as the photographer, wedding planner and toastmaster all in one. Piecing the pictures together with my cameras, for people to forever remember your love story.
When taking the newly married couple off for photos alone, this is when you get to enjoy each others company for 10-15 minutes. Allowing you to have a chat and reflect on the day. I like to keep it light and make you feel at ease, as I capture natural photos of you both. With the odd staged pose here and there.
I am always happy to meet up with future married couples before they choose to book, to get to know one and other, as capturing someone’s wedding day is a very personal thing. We want you to feel comfortable and at ease, especially in front of the camera.
Throughout the day I like to take a fly on the wall approach, capturing the wedding day as it unfolds in a candid style, without being a ‘pushy photographer’. I want you to enjoy your wedding day as much as possible. then be able to re-live the day by looking through your wedding day photos.
